The war brought sorrow, pain, the loss of loved ones and relatives to our homes…the loss of a home…the loss of everything that was a child’s life, the environment of his comfort and happiness…

Children see everything, feel everything and say things that sometimes adults do not dare to say out loud. It is impossible to deceive a child and make his eyes muddy. If there is a war around you, you must tell the truth (making corrections to the window and the form of reporting information). It is impossible to hide the war and, probably, it is not necessary. It is better to talk, explain, support, hug. And children are very smart – they will draw their own conclusions. The main goal of the Rotaract Club Kyiv International project “CHILDREN OF WAR – CHILDREN OF HOPE” is to improve the psychological state of children by conducting art therapy sessions, immersing them in the environment of creativity, beauty, aesthetics, creative search, which is an effective method of alleviating their psychological state. During such classes, children can communicate with their peers and experience traumatic experiences under the supervision of specialists. This helps to avoid mental health problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder or depression in the future.
